Community Volunteer Opportunities: Find a Food Shelf Near You

Food shelf visits in Minnesota have soared to record levels—7.5 million visits in 2023. We need strong connections and the community’s support to ensure our neighbors have the food they need to thrive.

Second Harvest Heartland relies on an extensive network of food shelves, emergency meal programs and agency partners to get the food we source onto the tables of households in need. These partners are critical to Make Hunger History—a bold goal to cut hunger in half for all Minnesotans by 2030.

Alongside HandsOn Twin Cities, we are excited to share Minnesota Hunger Relief Opportunities, a one-stop location for Minnesota hunger relief volunteer openings.

Turn your free time into meals for the community and sign up to volunteer with a local food shelf or hunger relief program!
