On May 26, we closed our location in Maplewood and have transitioned all operations, including our senior nutrition program, to Brooklyn Park. Through the senior nutrition program, formally known as the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP), Second Harvest Heartland provides a box of nutritious food each month to low-income individuals 60 years and older that may include canned fruits, vegetables and juices, milk, cheese, canned meat, peanut butter or dried beans, cereal, rice or pasta. And since the distribution is connected to our food bank, we're also able to provide additional items, including fresh produce, dairy and protein.

New volunteers and Maplewood volunteers who made the move are settling in at Brooklyn Park and currently serving up to 20 seniors per day onsite and through delivery options. If you or a senior you know could benefit from this monthly grocery distribution, please call 651-484-8241 (toll-free at 800-365-0270), or email naps@2harvest.org.
