Your comfort is important to us. Always remember to wear comfy close-toed shoes for your volunteer shift as you will be on your feet and moving around a lot during your time with us. Wearing layers of clothes is also recommended as it can be chilly in our space this time of year, but once you get moving around, folks tend to warm up! Please take breaks as needed during your shift - you are free to step out of the Volunteer Center and go into our lobby area to use the restroom, get a drink, sit for a minute, etc. If you are on an assembly-line style project, we ask that you please connect with one of our team members before you step out and they will arrange for someone to take your place. We want everyone to enjoy their time volunteering, so please let a team member know if you need anything to help keep you comfortable during your volunteer shift-we are here to help!
