Event Description:
Join Second Harvest Heartland as a volunteer for the 16th annual End Hunger Together Radiothon (formerly Let's Kick Hunger Day), hosted by News Talk 830 WCCO! On Tuesday, February 4 at Second Harvest Heartland's Brooklyn Park Facility, phone lines will be open from 6am - 6pm to raise funds for hunger relief. Volunteers are needed to answer the phones and process donations during the event.
We hope you'll consider joining Second Harvest Heartland and the community for this impactful event!
What you'll do:
- Connect with donors over the phone
- Share our mission
- Answer questions
- Enter donation information into an online form
What's in it for you:

- Training and direction provided at the start of your shift
What you're committing to:
- Being comfortable with data entry
- Being comfortable talking over the phone and collecting donation information
- Being comfortable with downtime, as certain times of the day may be slower on the phone (feel free to bring a book or other quiet activity!)
- Being punctual and dependable
