Bring energy and enthusiasm to one of the evening’s most interactive fundraising experiences.
As a Gift Card Game Volunteer at Dish, Second Harvest Heartland’s premier gala, you’ll help create a fun and engaging guest experience by encouraging participation in a lively pay-to-play game where everyone wins. Working in pairs, you’ll circulate the auction area, connect with guests, track purchases using a retail tablet, and ensure all gift cards are accounted for.

- Circulate the auction/game area with a partner to promote the gift card game
- Encourage guests to participate and explain how the game works
- Record purchases using a retail tablet
- Ensure accurate tracking and return all remaining gift cards in partnership with your lead volunteer
What’s You’ll Gain:
- A guest-facing role at a meaningful and mission-driven event
- Training and guidance provided at the start of your shift
- A chance to connect with fellow volunteers and community members
- Complimentary meal, snacks, and parking voucher
- Invitation to an optional pre-event overview session in early October
Your Commitment:
- Background Check: Complete a background check (SHH staff or exiting volunteers may already meet this requirement)
- Physical readiness: Able to stand and walk for extended periods
- Dress for the event: Wear cocktail attire and comfortable shoes
- Dependability: Arrive on time, stay flexible, and bring a positive attitude
