As a Wine Game Volunteer at Dish, Second Harvest Heartland’s premier gala, you’ll help create a lively and engaging guest experience by supporting a pay-to-play wine game where everyone wins. You’ll circulate the auction area with a partner, encourage participation, track purchases using a retail tablet, and help organize wine prizes for smooth guest pickup.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys guest interaction, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and brings enthusiasm to every task.
What You’ll Do:
- Promote a pay-to-play game where guests win a bottle of wine
- Stage wine bottles before the event begins
- Circulate the auction/game area during the reception to encourage participation
- Record purchases using a retail tablet
- Work with a partner to ensure transactions are accurate
- Help organize wine prizes for guest pickup at the end of the evening

Your Commitment:
- Background Check: Complete a background check (SHH staff or exiting volunteers may already meet this requirement)
- Physical readiness: Able to stand and walk for extended periods

- Dependability: Arrive on time, stay flexible, and bring a positive attitude
- Teamwork: Work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
