Help guests capture joyful moments and amplify the impact of the evening.
As a Photography Assistant at Dish, Second Harvest Heartland’s premier gala, you’ll support the photo display area by welcoming guests, managing the line, assisting the professional photographer, and encouraging attendees to share their snapshots on social media. You may also be asked to take photos using guests’ phones—adding a personal touch to their experience.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys connecting with people, thrives in interactive settings, and loves being part of the celebration.
What You’ll Do:
- Welcome guests to the photo display area with enthusiasm
- Assist the professional photographer with guest flow and coordination
- Encourage guests to share their photos on social media to spread awareness
- Capture candid moments using guests’ phones when requested

Your Commitment:
- Background Check: Complete a background check (SHH staff or existing volunteers may already meet this requirement).
- Physical readiness: Able to stand for extended periods
- Dress for the event: Wear cocktail attire and comfortable shoes
- Dependability: Arrive on time, stay flexible, and bring a positive attitude
- Teamwork: Work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
