Volunteer Opportunity: Senior Hunger Site Partner – Spring Manor

What You’ll Do
We’re looking for a volunteer to support our Senior Hunger Program, which provides a monthly box of nutritious food to low-income seniors aged 60 and over. In this role, you’ll help set up the distribution area, assist participants through the sign-in and food pick-up process, verify income eligibility, and ensure all site paperwork is submitted. You’ll also lift and load boxes of groceries weighing 35+ pounds, all while creating a welcoming and respectful environment for our senior participants.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work and wants to make a direct impact in ending hunger.

Physical Demands & Environment
- Ability to lift and carry 35+ pound boxes
- Active role in a distribution setting
Schedule and Flexibility
- Frequency: 2nd Wednesday of every month
- Duration: 1 hour - 12:45pm - 1:45pm
- Commitment: Minimum of 12 months
- Location: Spring Manor - 828 Spring St NE, Minneapolis, MN 55413
Training and Support
- We’ll provide onboarding to help you feel confident in your role
- You’ll be trained and supported by our CSFP Program Advisor
Communication
- Most communication will take place via email
- Volunteers will receive regular updates and instructions from their volunteer supervisor
- Open lines of communication for questions and feedback
